Simpler Times
There were times in our childhood which were way simpler; where making someone happy was not that difficult.People were less selfish;money minded and close to families.
Times where the chirping of the bird in the morning would make us happy; Rather than the snoozing alarm right now; where there is nothing close to nature in this multi storied building.
The soothing breeze while going to the school which would flip our hair away; Rather than the hustle of the bus or the noisy traffic zones while going to office.
The new swing set in the playground would make our day; Rather than the new workload that added up.
The taste of mom’s handmade food would make our afternoons; Rather than the line in the cafeteria with plates of same old food everyday.
Where one dancing in the rain would be our happiness; Rather than running for the shade in between the honking of the cars and getting sad for it destroyed our office clothes.
The happiness of watching our favorite channels with whole family at night; Rather than the agitation of cooking dinner every night just to fill our bellies.
Before this hustle and bustle of the city, people have stopped enjoying the little things. Little things that lead to happiness.
The smell of freshly cut grass or the fragrance of the mud after the rain.
The starry night or the comfortable cot.
We have all lost meanings of our lives. Faster way of making money is on everyone’s minds. Technology has taken over everything.
We still can make it better;Just enjoying the little things around us.
Little things we experience.
